"All of the incentives up until now have been for doctors to go into sub-specialties, and not so many of us have gotten into primary care.  There is currently a primary care shortage. Most of the counties in this state have a primary care shortage.  That could be exacerbated by this.  I think we are going to have to rely on physician assistants, nurse practitioners, who provide good primary care, to help serve a population that has more access, more ability to get the healthcare they need."
