HOUSTON (AP) -

A Houston college quarterback is recovering in his dorm room after he was shot and carjacked by four men over the weekend.

KPRC-TV reports 21-year-old Jonathan Fleming was shot twice - once in the shoulder and once in the heel - after attending a party Sunday on Houston's southeast side.

Fleming is a backup quarterback for the Houston Baptist University football team. He said he was leaving the party when four men approached him with a gun, demanding he exit his vehicle and give up his possessions. Fleming said he threw his keys and wallet into the street, before one of the men shot him. All of the robbers ran away.

A message seeking comment from the Houston Police Department wasn't immediately returned Monday.
