Indicted Brown County Commissioner Wayne Shaw, accused of stealing county-owned gravel, continued to serve Monday in his elected position.
“I’ll get my day. I’ll have my day. Don’t worry about that,” Shaw said when approached by KTXS reporter Gabriella Hernandez.

Shaw was indicted recently on a third-degree felony theft charge. Authorities allege Shaw gave permission for a man to take gravel – valued at more than $1,500 – off a county intersection for personal use.
Last week, Brown County Judge Ray West told KTXS News that Shaw will continue to work and will only resign if he is convicted.
The case is being prosecuted by the Coleman County District Attorney’s Office.
