KLAPHEKE TRIAL: Mother on trial in connection with child's death (15 photos)

Tiffany Klapheke, 23, was arrested in August 2012 after she called 911 and first responders found her toddler – Tamryn – unresponsive in her home on Dyess Air Force Base.

She is charged with first-degree felony injury to a child. If convicted, she could be sentenced from five to 99 years – or life – in prison.

Tamryn Klapheke, 22 months old, died in late August 2012 as a result of of what authorities said was severe neglect. Her mother -- Tiffany N. Klapheke, 23, whose then-husband, Thomas, was deployed at the time of the child's death -- was arrested for three counts of felony injury to a child. Two other children were hospitalized.
