KTXS Forecast: Good chance for rain Tuesday

Mainly during the daylight hours

ABILENE, Texas - A cold front moved through our area Monday and brought back cooler air.  We are tracking an upper level disturbance moving towards us from the west.  It is expected to bring clouds and showers to our area for Tuesday.

Look for increasing clouds Monday night.  Low temperatures Tuesday morning should be around 40.  Cloudy skies are expected for the day Tuesday.  Showers are forecast to move east through our area during the day.  About 1/3 of an inch of rain is possible.  High temperatures will struggle to warm into the upper 40s.

Showers are expected to be east of our area before sundown Tuesday.  So trick or treating time should be just mostly cloudy with temperatures in the middle 40s.  Expect some puddles to linger.

Decreasing clouds are forecast for the rest of Tuesday night.  Low temperatures Wednesday morning should be in the middle 40s as south winds return.

Mostly sunny skies should be back with us by Wednesday afternoon.  High temperatures should be around 80.

Mostly fair skies and very warm temperatures are forecast for Thursday and Friday with afternoon temperatures in the middle to upper 80s.

It is time change weekend.  We go back to Central Standard Time at 2 am Sunday morning.  If your clocks don't automatically change, you'll need to turn them back one hour before you go to bed Saturday night.
