ABILENE, Texas -

Industrial Outfitters is collecting water bottles to take to victims and first responders in Moore, OK after a deadly tornado killed 24 people and left a projected $2 billion worth of damage.

"We got to talking about how we wish we could go up there and do something, anything to help, and we just had the idea that you know maybe there is something that we could do," said Dalton Cox who works at Industrial Outfitters.

The staff said they never expected such a great turn out.

"Right now it's looking like we're almost to a full trailer load so we're hoping to start a second trailer load soon the response has been really amazing, honestly," said Cox.

"I always feel for somebody that's been through tornadoes and everything like that and we've been fortunate in this area not to have a tornado and anything like that and I feel like that anything we can do to help our neighbors we need to do it," said Mike Pueschel who donated cases of water Thursday.

Employees said they will drive the trailers to Moore on Saturday.

"We’ve been in contact with some representatives around there. Red Cross is definitely going to be a destination," said Cox.

They said that even though it's a small gesture they hope it might make a difference.

Anyone who would like to donate water bottles to their cause can bring a case to Industrial Outfitters at 4721 Hill Street between 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday.
