Brownwood's Lyric Theatre is getting a makeover.
The theater's managing director, Eric Evans, said the theater was built originally in 1914 as a vaudeville theater. Throughout the years it has also served as a movie house and dress shop.
After more than a decade, renovations are being done on the building. Evans said it is expected to be completed in time to celebrate the 100th year anniversary of the complex.
KTXS News will get reaction from show directors and see how this change impacts them as well as the community.
