Hundreds of AISD students enjoy a beautiful afternoon in downtown Abilene for the Million Word Reader Challenge
Some serious readers in AISD took a break from the books Friday afternoon to celebrate their accomplishments.
First through fifth grade students tracked their reading progress through out the year and those who reached the million word incentive challenge got to enjoy some fun in downtown Abilene.
There were all kinds of games and entertainment. They also visited the Paramount, the Grace Museum, the National Center for Children’s Illustrated Literature and Everman Park.
