Anson is entering it's first year under new head coach Chris Hagler. They Tigers are coming off a good season as well, going 10-2 in 2013.
Gavin Hill will have big shoes to fill at quarterback. This may be his first year under center, but Hill did gain Varsity experience at wide receiver.
It also helps that the Tigers return running back Dustin Moore. The junior rushed for over 1,000 yards last season, after replacing Mitchell Hudson due to injury.
Moore already has a year under his belt and knows they'll look to him for leadership this season.
"Now that I'm an upperclassman, I know that I got to be a leader," said Moore. "It just motivates me to do the best I can and to lead our younger teammates."
"He understood real quickly that the speed changed a little bit," said Hagler on Moore. "How he's helping those other kids is that he's playing full speed out here in practice. You know he talks to the other kids, kinda mentors them and lets them know this and that about the game and about how much faster it's going to be on Friday nights."
