A Brooklyn businessman is suing a credit rating agency because they won't accept his first name -- God.
God Gazarov, a Russian native who was named after his grandfather, told the New York Post that Equifax has refused to correct its system to recognize his name as legitimate.
The agency has falsely reported he has no financial history, according to the lawsuit.
One Equifax customer service representative even suggested he change his name to resolve the issue, Gazarov said.
He told the Post he has high ratings with two other major credit agencies.
Equifax did not return calls or emails seeking comment.
