BIG SPRING, Texas (AP) -

Part of Interstate 20 in West Texas, which has been closed since an overpass collapsed from a two-vehicle accident Tuesday, has now reopened in both directions, Texas Department of Transportation spokeswoman Darah Waldrip said Thursday.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Tuesday night's accident involved two 18-wheelers. One truck hit a guard rail, the driver over-corrected and the big rig smashed into the support beams, causing a section of overpass to fall. A second truck then plowed into the overpass debris on I-20.
DPS on Thursday said the drivers were not hurt. No charges were immediately filed.
