A $545,000 project to rehabilitate Hubbard Creek Bridge on FM 601 east of Albany is scheduled to begin this coming Monday.

Traffic will be detoured during the project, which is expected to be completed by June, and drivers will be detoured along State Highway 6 and FM 576. State transportation officials say much of the work will take place under the bridge.

“Drivers must not drive around the barricades for their own safety and the safety of the workers,” a Texas Department of Transportation news release said.

Gibson and Associates of Balch Springs has been contracted to do the work.
