San Angelo Police: Stabbing investigation at Capri Apartments

News release from the San Angelo Police Department (April 10, 2017):

SAN ANGELO, Texas -- The San Angelo Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is investigating a stabbing that occurred at approximately 10:00 a.m. this morning at the Capri Apartment Complex, 602 W. Avenue M.

Upon arrival, Officers were directed to a female victim who was outside a second-floor apartment, suffering from an apparent stab wound.  The victim, a 33-year-old San Angelo resident, was being cared for by bystanders.  Officers took over first aid efforts until medics arrived and transported the victim to a nearby hospital where she later underwent surgery.  The suspect, reportedly a Hispanic female in her early-twenties, fled the scene prior to police arrival.
