Taylor County Sheriff competes in rodeo benefiting Special Olympics Texas

FORT WORTH, Texas - Taylor County Sheriff Ricky Bishop saddled up Sunday for a good cause.

Bishop participated in the Cowboy Cops Rodeo at the Will Rogers Coliseum in Fort Worth.


The event, which was hosted by the Grand Prairie Police Department, benefits Special Olympics Texas.

Bishop joined law enforcement officers from across Texas for the event.

“Unfortunately I did not win anything," Bishop said. “However, we did have fun.”
