A Taylor County grand jury has decided to not indict Taylor County Sheriff's Department deputies who shot and killed a man during a confrontation last December.
The incident happened at a home at Braune Road and Highway 277.
Deputies say 40-year-old Tony Riddle was armed and threatening suicide. Officers tried to negotiate with Riddle but they say he threatened them with a gun many times. Officers shot him and he died at the scene.
Texas Rangers investigated the confrontation, and when the grand jury heard the results of that investigation, the officers were "no billed," meaning no charges will be filed against them.
