ABILENE, Texas -

A spoof fashion show, live entertainment, and a food truck competition are just a few events that you'll find downtown Thursday.

The “Thanks for the Memories” Artwalk will run from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and benefits the Abilene Alzheimer's Association.

The Center for Contemporary Arts will host the spoof fashion show at 6:30 p.m.

Entrants will have donation buckets decorated to match their outfits. The one with the most donations wins.

And here's an Abilene first, food trucks will be competing in the "Most Memorable Meal" contest.

Categories include best entree, best appetizer, best dessert, and People's Choice where the truck with the most donations wins.

Up the street, McKay's Bakery is hosting a cake walk.

Organizers say last year's event was a success but they want this year to be even bigger.

"Last year they had about 1500 people there and so we'd like to have over 2000. Not only is it a good cause but it's gonna be a lot of fun" says Chris Stice of Wisteria Place.

Donations during the event can be made by cash, check, or credit card.
