Back to school shopping was a little more exciting than usual for one group of students. Friday WTU Retail Energy took 50 deserving students on a shopping spree at JC Penny's.
The kids were selected by Communities in Schools of the Big Country. They each got $100 to spend on clothes or shoes. WTU says they are happy to help start the school year off right for the kids.
“WTU is proud to give back to the community by buying these students new clothes and shoes, giving them a chance to start the new school year with confidence,” said JP Campione, Retention Manager for WTU Retail Energy. “These children have a bright future, and WTU wants to be a part of that journey.”
This is the 8th year WTU has sponsored the shopping spree.
