WTU Volunteer Citizen Award: Finalist Jamie Thomas helps autistic kids in Big Country
We've teamed up with WTU to host the first WTU Volunteer Citizen of the Year Award here in the state of Texas.
Over the past couple of months we've ask folks to submit nominations and tell us about individuals here in the big country who are changing lives through service.
Five finalists have been named, and mid-December we'll announce the winner, who will receive $5,000 to donate to the charity of their choice.
Jamie Thomas volunteers her time with several groups with the aim of raising awareness and support for kids with Autism and their families. We caught up with her out at The Legacy Complex; a place where horse therapy has proven to be very successful for her little boy, Hunter.
