Welcome to KTXS Television in Abilene, Texas.

Cam Tran joined the KTXS news team in March 2006 as the weekend reporter and now covers city and county and is coanchor of KTXS News Weekend Reports. Before moving to Abilene, Cam reported for the morning show at FOX 7 News in Austin, where she covered Hurricane Katrina and Rita evacuees in Central Texas. While in Austin she also interned at KXAN 36 the NBC affiliate. Cam received a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism and a minor in business administration from the University of Texas. She speaks three other languages: Vietnamese, Mandarin and Cantonese. She's been an active member of the Asian American Journalists Association for six years and received a Texas AAJA scholarship in 2005. Cam was born and raised in Houston, Texas.
