Danielle Dozier

KTXS This Morning Meteorologist

Danielle Dozier joined the KTXS weather team in June of 2007. She is excited to help people with their outdoor plans. She says, "I am happy to be here to answer the one question they ask themselves every day when they wake up: What will the weather be like today?"

Danielle's hometown is Chesapeake, Va., where she received her associate's degree in science from Tidewater Community College. She then moved to Asheville, N.C., where she received her bachelor's degree in meteorology from the University of North Carolina at Asheville.

"Weather is something that I have been interested in since I was a little girl," she says. "I remember watching weather movies and gazing at the sky during severe weather wondering what was going to happen next."

Along with her education at UNCA, Danielle previously interned with the National Weather Service in Greenville, S.C. She also interned with WLOS-TV in Asheville, N.C. Since then, she has been working in the field of broadcast meteorology.

Besides studying and forecasting the weather, Danielle enjoys music, playing and watching sports. You can catch Danielle weekday mornings from 5:30-7 on KTXS This Morning, the most watched local morning news program in the Big Country.

She also conducts school tours and visits. If you'd like to schedule one, just e-mail her at dozier@ktxs.com.
