ABILENE, Texas -

While other kids in Abilene made football their sport of choice, first cousins Taylor grant and Cory churchman started swinging golf clubs once they were out of diapers.

"Probably since we could walk we've been playing together we go out and play with our grandparents a lot our parents play," says Grant, a senior at Wylie High.

"We'd always go over to each others houses and make like putt-putt courses inside and even you know stuff like that that are having fun but it really helps,” says Churchman a senior at Cooper High.

Little drills like that set the tone for these two cousins to become two of the top high school golfers in the big country.

They're bond on and off the course have grown second to none.

“Were like brothers I think if you saw us two together you would think were brothers instead of cousins," says Grant. "When were with other friends I’ll say something and think wow I sounded just like Taylor," says Churchman

Once high school is over collegiate golf awaits both Cory and Taylor. Cory is set to attend North Texas after his senior year at cooper while Taylor has his sights set on Oklahoma State after he graduates from Wylie.

"Ever since we were little we’ve kind of wanted to hey lets go to the same college and be roommates you know it'd be awesome but I know if it doesn’t work out it doesn’t work out,” says Churchman.
