Eagles season ends with Midway's clutch drive
The Abilene Eagles were defeated by Waco Midway 34-31 in the 5A division two region one semifinals.
Midway's Kramer Robertson converted several keys play in the final drive of the game including a 4th and 20 with under a minute left in the game.
Robertson capped off the drive with a 20 yard touchdown with just twelve seconds left on the clock, putting the Panthers up for good 34-31.
Marcell Porter finished with 279 rushing yds and 3 touchdowns.
Evin Abbe finished with two touchdown passes and passed Taylor Potts as the Eagles all-time leader in passing touchdowns in the first half.
The Eagles season ends at 12-1.
Midway will face Cedar Hill in the regional finals next week.
