Former University of Iowa forward Zach McCabe was arrested Friday for allegedly punching a man in a bar, according to the Quad City Times.

McCabe, who finished his college playing career in March, turned himself in Friday and was being held on $1,500 bond at the Johnson County jail.

McCabe was charged with assault causing bodily injury stemming from a fight at D.C.'s bar in Iowa City early Friday morning.

According to police, security surveillance showed McCabe and a woman arguing in the bar. When a man intervened, McCabe punched him, knocking him to the floor. McCabe then blew the man a kiss as he left the bar.

Iowa coach Fran McCaffery, who is in Florida, said in a statement that "after collecting all the facts, I will deal with this situation when I return next week."

McCabe scored 871 points with the Hawkeyes and holds the school record with 137 games played.
