Gonzaga is ranked No. 1 in the Associated Press top 25 poll for the first time in school history.
The poll was released Monday.
Gonzaga (29-2), which has the best record in Division I, got 51 of 65 first place votes. Indiana (25-4) dropped to No. 2 and received seven first place votes after losing to Minnesota last week.
Duke (25-3) stayed at No. 3 after losing to Virginia but beating Miami. The Blue Devils picked up five first place votes. Kansas moved up two spots to No. 4 as did No. 5 Georgetown. The Hoyas received the remaining two first place votes.
Miami, Michigan, Louisville, Kansas State and Michigan State made up the rest of the top 10.
No. 21 Virginia Commonwealth and No. 23 UCLA replaced Butler and Louisiana Tech in the top 25.
