Hardin-Simmons Well Represented In Dream Bowl I
Hardin-Simmons’ was well represented at the inaugural Dream Bowl in Salem, Va. on Monday afternoon.
The game was a Division III all-star that was built around the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday. It pitted all-stars from all over the country.
Undra Hendrix was named the defensive MVP of the game with three sacks, five tackles for loss and eight overall tackles.
Dustin Emery, who was a late replacement into the game, also had a good day with four tackles including a pair of tackles for loss and a sack.
Corey Jones was selected for the game, but pulled a hamstring in the pregame practices and did not get to participate in the game.
The “Crusaders” team, which was the name of the team the Cowboy players played on, won the game 37-0. Former Cowboy Jordan Neal was the head coach of the game and former HSU players Jordy Bernhard and Will Galusha were assistant coaches.
In all, there were 19 American Southwest Conference players in the game.
