Tampa Bay Lightning winger Sean Bergenheim will be assessed Wednesday prior to Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals vs. Boston.
Bergenheim has an undisclosed injury suffered in the first period of Monday's Game 5 loss and did not return. Lightning coach Guy Boucher told the St. Petersburg Times that Bergenheim would have been unable to play had the game been played Tuesday.
Bergenheim has two goals and an assist vs. Boston, with Tampa Bay winning each game in which he has scored. He has nine goals and two assists in 16 postseason games.
The Lightning trail the series, 3-2, and host Game 6 on Wednesday.
The winner of the series will go on to face the Vancouver Canucks in the Stanley Cup finals. Vancouver defeated the San Jose Sharks 3-2 in two overtimes in Game 5 to win the Western Conference finals 4-1.
