Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel could become the first freshman to win the Heisman Trophy when the award is presented on Saturday night.
He certainly has the statistics. He plays in the powerful Southeastern Conference. And he has a signature win - all things Heisman voters typically look for when picking a winner.
The only question is whether those voters will give the award to a redshirt freshman quarterback.
Adrian Peterson, star running back for the Vikings and the only freshman to finish second in voting, says he hopes the voters "don't rob him like they did me."
Manziel is one of three finalists, along with Kansas State quarterback Collin Klein and Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o.
