Realignment plan moves Red Wings, Blue Jackets to East
Proposal would divide league into four conferences

The NHL's latest realignment proposal includes moving the Detroit Red Wings and Columbus Blue Jackets to the East and creating four conferences, according to CBC's Hockey Night in Canada.
The 30-team league would be divided into two eight-team Eastern Conferences and two seven-team Western Conferences.
Detroit and Columbus would move out of the West and into one of the Eastern conferences.
