Whether he’s been catching touchdowns, intercepting passes, or even throwing the occasion pass, Stamford’s Bo Wimberly has made an impact all over the field.

"If I can establish myself to make the team better in my position,” Wimberly told KTXS.  “I’d do that first then I'd start focusing on my other jobs as Hagen's backup."

“He's a he's a good friend,” says teammate Hagen Hutchinson. “He's a pretty funny guy. You know he's easy going. He jokes around a lot he's one of those he doesn't take things too seriously but he plays his heart out."

This season Wimberly has played five different positions, but it’s been on defense where he’s been most versatile.

"He's really stepped in and played free safety for us if need him at outside linebacker we can move him to outside linebacker,” says Stamford head coach Wayne Hutchinson. “He's one of those hard nose kids that's always gonna be around the football he's gonna deliver the blow, he makes good tackles and he's just an asset to our team."

The Bulldogs will face Italy in Mineral Wells Friday, December 14th in the State semifinals. The winner will advance into the 1A divison one state championship at Cowboy Stadium.
