ABILENE, Texas - Noah Goodwin of Corinth, Texas, fired a 3-under-par 68 to take medalist honors in the TayorMade-adidas Golf Qualifier for the Aaron's / Bob Estes Abilene Junior. In the Girls Division, Kesaree Rojanapeansatith of Nonthaburi, Thailand, earned medalist honors and qualified with a 1-under-par 70.
Conducted by the American Junior Golf Association, the TaylorMade-adidas Golf Qualifier for the Aaron's / Bob Estes Abilene Junior was an 18-hole stroke play competition played on the par-71 course at Diamondback Golf Club. The event featured 67 boys and 17 girls, ages 12-18. The Boys Division played the course at 6,431 yards, while the Girls Division played the course at 5,564 yards. TaylorMade-adidas Golf Qualifiers give juniors an opportunity to "play their way in" to coinciding AJGA Open tournaments or earn Performance Stars for a future event. The TaylorMade-adidas Golf Qualifier Series offers opportunities for AJGA juniors at 56 AJGA Open events.
Goodwin was the Boys Division medalist after a 3-under-par 68. Also qualifying was JC Campbell of Dallas, Clark McCollum of Austin, Texas, Colin Kober of Southlake, Texas, Camden DeBonis of Allen, Texas, James Thompson of Dallas, Colin Hamilton of Westlake, Texas, Jorge Morillo of Southlake, Texas, and Zachary Campbell of Benbrook, Texas.
In the Girls Division, Kesaree Rojanapeansatith of Nonthaburi, Thailand, took home medalist honors and qualified with a 1-under-par 70. Also qualifying in the Girls Division was Cheleen Cousins of Plano, Texas.
