ST. LOUIS -

According to multiple media reports, the St. Louis Rams have named former Abilene Christian standout Daryl Richardson their starting running back for the start of the 2013 season.

The former Wildcat has been Isiah Pead for the starting job the last four weeks. Earlier today Rams head coach Jeff Fisher told reporters "from a starting standpoint, it looks like Daryl will take the first snap at the beginning of the season."

Richardson is entering his second year as a pro after a stellar career at ACU.

He finished with 98 carries and 475 rushing yards in the 2012 season as a rookie.
