ABILENE, Texas -

Sophomore guard Parker Wentz buried three consecutive three pointers to start the second half during the Wildcats' 99-49 route of Open Bible College Monday afternoon at Moody Coliseum in the second of a two-game series.

ACU won their first meeting earlier this month, 87-43.

Wentz finished the game with 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting and was one of four Wildcats to finish in double figures along with Jacob Lancaster (11), Rafael Farley (16) and James Pegues (16). Lancaster started and was 4-of-8 from the floor, while Farley and Pegues went a combined 10-of-12 from the bench and were a perfect 9-of-9 from the free-throw line.

ACu's bench outscored Open Bible's, 58-11.

Austin Cooke led the Wildcats in rebounding with nine as the Wildcats (6-8) also dominated the boards by a +33 margin of 47-14. Open Bible recorded just five defensive rebounds in the second half.

Billy Johnson netted a team-high 21 points on 7-of-17 shooting and was 4-of-8 from 3-point range to lead the Bruins; however, the rest of his team made just 11 of 30 attempts.

Open Bible was held to 38.3 percent shooting for the game (18-47), while the Wildcats made close to 57 percent of their attempts (33-58). ACU also fared well at the charity stripe in hitting 23 of 25 shots.

Starting guard Harrison Hawkins had seven assists.

The Wildcats return to action and officially begin their first season against the Southland Conference Wednesday, Jan. 9 at New Orleans. The 7:30 p.m. game will be broadcast locally on 98.1 FM.
