Brownwood has more days with temperatures at or above 100 degrees than San Angelo or Abilene so far in 2012.  The National Weather Service office in San Angelo says that Brownwood has seen 34 days with triple digit temperatures this year.  Not far behind is San Angelo with 32 days.  Abilene has only seen 18 days with temperatures of 100 or more in 2012.

Unfortunately, we are forecasting more triple digit afternoon temperatures each day over the region through the weekend.  So, those above numbers will be going higher.

Rain chances look to continue at or near zero in our area through Sunday.

Be careful in this heat.  Do you hardest outdoor work in the mornings when temperatures are the coolest.  Drink plenty of water and stay in the air conditioning as much as possible.
