We tracked showers in our region Wednesday morning and early afternoon. Showers dissipated during the afternoon and dry weather is expected to continue Wednesday night.
We are tracking several upper level disturbances that are forecast to move into our region over the next three days. These should spark thundershowers and isolated thunderstorms Thursday afternoon and evening - especially west and north of Abilene.
Another disturbance should move in late Friday and bring another dose of showers and thunderstorms for Friday night. We could see those showers continuing into Saturday morning.
Slight chances of afternoon thundershowers will be with for Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
High pressure is forecast to rebuild in our region Monday and bring back dry weather for early next week with above normal temperatures.
After a couple of days with below normal temperatures, more typical summertime temperatures are forecast to return Thursday and continue through the weekend. Look for highs in the lower to middle 90s.
