Mark Rowlett: Gradual warming trend expected through Sunday

ABILENE, Texas -

A gradual warming trend is expected into Sunday.  Nighttime temperatures should still drop into the 30s, but look for afternoon readings in the 60s Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

We are tracking a surge of colder air that should blow in Sunday night.  Precipitation is not expected, but temperatures should be in the lower 50s for highs on Monday.  A slow warming trend is forecast to return Tuesday.

Dry weather is forecast to continue for the next seven days with fair to partly cloudy skies.
