Rain chances not as great Tuesday, but we’re still tracking a chance of showers and storms.
Monday brought scattered rain showers and thunderstorms across the Big Country, keeping the temperatures slightly cooler in the lower 90s.
The low pressure system responsible for the storms will be moving southwest away from the area on Tuesday, lowering our rain chances.
Expect warmer temperatures Tuesday with a slight chance of rain, mostly west of Abilene.
Highs should reach to around 96 degrees with a partly cloudy sky in Abilene with winds out of the south from 10-20 mph.
By Wednesday, rain chances will be out of the picture and we will be warming up with high pressure moving back over the area.
Temperatures will be in the mid 90s Wednesday and then on up into the upper 90s by Thursday as high pressure strengthens.
Morning temperatures will be remaining in the lower 70s through the forecast.
