A weak cold front and strong upper level low pressure system will bring our region showers and thunderstorms Saturday. Severe thunderstorms will be possible that could produce large hail and damaging winds. As always, expect lightning in and near storms.
The better chances for severe storms look to be for the afternoon and evening hours from Abilene eastward. Storm chances will continue for mainly the Heartland for Saturday night.
Mostly fair skies are forecast for Sunday and Monday. However, another upper level low could bring showers and thunderstorms back to our region for Tuesday.
Nighttime temperatures should be a little milder Saturday night and Sunday night with lows in the 50s. High temperatures should be in the low to middle 80s Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
