We are tracking mainly light showers moving through our region Tuesday evening. Cloud to ground lightning will be possible with the rain and thunderstorms moving northeastward.
Light showers are expected to continue over much of our region for the day Wednesday and Wednesday evening.
Stronger thunderstorms are expected to move through our region between 9 PM Wednesday and sunrise Thursday. These storms will produce frequent lightning and could produce large hail and damaging winds.
The storms should be east of our region by sunrise Thursday. Dry weather is forecast for the remainder of Thursday through the weekend.
Temperatures will be on the cool side Wednesday with lows in the 40s and highs only around 50. Look for low temperatures Thursday morning in the 40s.
Sunshine and strong southwest winds should push afternoon readings back into the 60s Thursday afternoon.
Winds should become northerly Thursday night. This will bring in colder air for Friday. Low temperatures Friday morning should be in the upper 20s. High temperatures Friday should be in the lower 50s.
Temperatures should drop to around freezing for Saturday morning. But sunshine and south winds should bring Saturday afternoon temperatures back up to the 60s.
A dry cold front is forecast to move through Sunday afternoon and bring back cooler temperatures for Monday.
