A fairly strong cold front should blow in Sunday morning. This should return cooler air to our region Sunday and give us a good chance of thundershowers Sunday morning.
However, until the front arrives we will keep these late summer-like temperatures with strong winds. Look for high temperatures in the lower 80s and lows only in the lower 60s both Friday and Saturday.
Strong south or southwest winds will continue at 15-25 mph with gusts to 30 mph possible through Saturday.
Showers and thundershowers are likely along and just ahead of the cold front early Sunday morning. Clearing skies are forecast for Sunday afternoon. The risk of severe storms looks to be east of our area Sunday afternoon.
Freezing temperatures are forecast for our region again Tuesday morning. The normal first freeze date for Abilene is November 12th and for San Angelo it's November 13th. However, most areas have already experienced at least one freeze this season.
