Strong thunderstorms moved through portions of our region Tuesday morning and early Tuesday afternoon. Lightning reportedly damaged a home in Anson. Half dollar size hail was reported south of Baird. Dime size hail was observed for a time in Breckenridge. The storms moved east into central Texas by mid-afternoon.
Strong west winds were found over our region Tuesday afternoon. They continued into Tuesday night. Some of the highest wind gusts reported for Tuesday:

Winds are forecast to gradually subside overnight Tuesday. Look for winds from the northwest at 15 to 25 mph Wednesday.
Temperatures will be chilly at night with lows around freezing Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Afternoon readings should be in the 50s Wednesday, but back into the 60s Thursday and Friday.
Mostly fair skies and dry weather are expected for Wednesday through the weekend.
