ABILENE, Texas -

The cold air returned to our region late Monday and below normal temperatures should continue through Friday.  Low temperatures should be in the 20s with highs only in the 40s.

We are tracking a fairly strong upper level disturbance in southern California that is forecast to move into southwest Texas Thursday.  This should bring a mixture of rain and snow to areas mainly southwest and south of the Big Country Thursday afternoon through Friday morning.

The better chances of measurable snowfall are expected to stay around and south of I-10.  However, some precipitation could get as far north as San Angelo Thursday night.  The Big Country is looking at just mostly cloudy skies for Thursday and Friday.

This system is forecast to weaken Friday and move east of our region.  So, look for sunshine to return for the weekend and afternoon temperatures to climb back in the 50s.

We are tracking another disturbance that could bring the entire region showers and thundershowers for Tuesday night.
