Temperatures may be extremely mild Thursday morning, but a cold front is actually nearing the Big Country.
It will be mostly sunny on Thursday with southwest winds at 5-10 in the morning hours and then turning north by the afternoon.
A cold front is just north of the region though Thursday morning and is expected to move through the I-20 corridor a little after Noon.
Temperatures will top out in the upper 60s in our northeast counties, around 70 in Abilene and in the upper 70s in Brownwood and San Angelo.
Thursday night will be cooler as temps fall to around 40 with light north winds and a partly cloudy sky.
Friday temperatures will stay in the upper 50s and lower 60s with north winds from 10-15 mph.
Clouds continue to build in this weekend with an approaching disturbance.
This disturbance will bring a slight chance of showers to region Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.
