ABILENE, Texas -

For this evening, we're tracking an increase in cloud cover as we head towards sunrise.

Temperatures will fall into the upper 40s and low 50s with a south wind between 10 and 15 mph.

For the end of the weekend we're tracking a cold front that will make it through the area during the day. We'll see the warmest temperatures of the day during the morning and early afternoon. Expect a wide range of highs, from the low 50s to the low 70s as the front pushes colder air in.

By the evening hours, we'll fall into the upper 20s.

We're tracking a slight chance for some light snow showers. The best chances will stay contained in the northern Big Country with accumulations unlikely.

After a cold start to the morning, we only warm into the low 40s during the afternoon. Breezy winds stay with us for the start of the work week, blowing in from the north between 15 and 20 mph.

Skies are clear and winds calm down heading into the evening. This will allow temperatures to plummet into the upper teens and low 20s.

Tuesday, mostly clear skies are expected with highs warming back into the mid 50s.

We'll see another evening of freezing temperatures with lows falling into the upper 20s and low 30s.

Wednesday, highs are near normal in the low 60s and we're back down into the upper 30s by Wednesday night.

70s are back in the forecast through Thursday and Friday.

We're tracking another cold front that will move into the area Friday night, with lows in the low 40s at night and highs Saturday in the mid 60s.
