ABILENE, Texas -

Temperatures topped the triple digits once again for the start of the weekend but things will cool off to the mid 70s. We'll see clear skies throughout the evening with a few high clouds expected for the start of your Sunday.

We'll be tracking a cold front in to the area Sunday afternoon that will bring showers and t'storms for the afternoon and evening hours. Before the rain arrives, temperatures will top out in the upper 90s and low 100s. Showes will continue into the evening with lows falling in to the mid 70s.

The front will stall out south of the area Monday, keeping rain chances slim Monday afternoon. Temperatures will reach in to the upper 90s and low 100s.

As the front dissipates Tuesday, high pressure will build in to take its place. This will bring clear skies and dry weather back in to the forecast through Thursday with highs expected in the low 100s and lows at night falling to the mid 70s.

We're tracking another cold front in to the area Thursday night and on into Friday morning. This front will bring cooler weather as highs struggle to make it in to the low to mid 90s. Showers and thunderstorms will also accompany the front and be with us for the end of the work week.
