Tracking several freezing nights ahead
We're tracking partly cloudy skies Saturday night with lows falling into the low to mid 20s before sunrise Sunday. A north wind between 5 and 15 mph will make for wind chill values in the teens.
A large dip in the jet stream to our west will make for several days of below average tempeartures.
Sunday, despite more sunshine, we'll only see afternoon highs in the low 40s. Overnight, temps are once again below freezing. We'll start the work week in the upper 10s and low 20s.
Monday, look for another chilly day as we warm to near 40. The very cold temperatures return overnight as we cool off into the upper 10s and low 20s once again.
Tuesday highs are back to near 40 before cooling into the low 20s by Wednesday morning.
High pressure builds over the area, bringing about a windshift from the north to the west.
This shift will make for warmer temps on Wednesday with highs around 50 degrees,
We're back below freezing, although slightly less so, by Thursday morning, with lows in the upper 20s.
Highs Thursday are close to their seasonable norms, in the mid to upper 50s.
The warming trend continues into the end of the work week and the beginning of the weekend with highs in the mid 60s by Saturday.
Lows stay chilly but just above freezing Friday and Saturday night.
