We have been tracking a weak upper level disturbance moving towards our region the past few days. It is moving in Wednesday evening and producing light showers.
Light showers are possible for Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Storms are not expected.
This disturbance should be east of the region by noon Thursday and partly cloudy skies are forecast for Thanksgiving afternoon. Look for high temperatures back in the upper 70s.
A strong cold front should blow in Thursday night. Heavier showers and thundershowers will possible just ahead of the arrival of the cold air. Again, storms are not expected for our area.
Showers will likely be south of our region by sunrise Friday. However, temperatures will be noticeably colder. Lows Friday morning should be in the 40s with north winds around 20 mph.
Skies should rapidly clear from north to south during the day Friday with high temperatures in the 60s.
Expect a freeze for Saturday morning with lows in the lower 30s. A brief warm up is forecast for Saturday through Monday with highs near 70 again Sunday and Monday.
