ABILENE, Texas -

We tracked a weak cold front into our region Thursday night.  It is not bringing us any rainfall, but it will bring slightly cooler temperatures for Friday.  Look for lows around 40 highs in the 60s Friday.

Another cool night is expected for Friday night with lows back in the lower 40s.  Look for partly cloudy skies with highs in the lower 70s Saturday.

The really cold air should blow in Sunday morning.  Look for high temperatures in the lower 50s Sunday with north winds at 20 mph gusting to 30 mph.

Light snow is expected in the Texas panhandle Sunday night, but we are keeping our forecast dry.  However, low temperatures in our area Monday morning should be in the upper 20s.

Clearing skies are forecast for Monday, but highs should only climb into the 40s.  A hard freeze is expected for Tuesday morning with lows in the lower 20s.

Plan on protecting exposed pipes and your outdoor pets.
