ABILENE, Texas -

Warmer temps should return to the Big Country Thursday afternoon after a few days of below normal temps.

Highs are expected to be in the lower 90s across the board Thursday with a partly cloudy sky and breezy south winds.

A few showers and storms will be possible later on today with a passing disturbance.

Thursday night a mostly cloudy sky should keep us in the mid 70s.

Mid 90s are expected to stay with us Friday through the weekend.

A few passing disturbances will keep slight rain chances through the weekend as well.

It does look like the best rain chances would be on Friday evening for the Big Country.

We continue to track what is Tropical Storm Isaac Thursday morning.

Isaac looks to be the next hurricane to make U.S. landfall early next week somewhere along the eastern Gulf Coast or Florida.

Still does not look to affect our weather, but if you have travel plans to that region early next week these will likely be impacted.
