Freezing weather is in the forecast Monday and Tuesday morning but a warming trend is on the way.
Tonight, look for temperatures cooling into the mid to upper 20s. A Freeze Warning is in effect for most of us but freezing temps are likely for the entire Big Country. Make sure your pets and plants have a warm place to stay.
By Monday afternoon, plenty of sunshine is expected with high only making it into the low 50s. Overnight Monday we'll, once again, drop below freezing. Look for Tuesday morning temps in the upper 20s.
Tuesday, sunny skies and warming temps will return. Highs top out near 60 degrees before cooling to around 40 overnight.
Wednesday, we're inching back to where we should be for this time of year with highs around the mid to upper 60s. Breezy south winds at 15 to 20 mph will accompany an increse in cloud cover.
Moisture will filter in from the Gulf of Mexico and keep mostly cloudy skies in the forecast for the end of the work week and into the weekend.
Thursday we'll warm to around 70 after starting the day in the low 50s.
Friday, we're into the upper 70s. Rain chances come into the forecast as a disturbance moves over the state. Scattered showers will be likely during the late afternoon and into the evening.
Next weekend begins on the mild side with temperatures in the upper 50s. We'll warm to around 80 Saturday afternoon with a mostly cloudy sky. Slight rain chances return overnight.
Sunday begins in the mid 50s before we top out, with the warmest temperatures of the forecast, in the low 80s.
