Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in West Central Texas! We are tracking absolutely beautiful weather conditions on this Turkey Day. Lots of sunshine and highs in the mid to upper 50s are expected. No rainfall is in the forecast. South winds will blow around 10mph.
Tonight mostly clear conditions will be in control and lows will drop into the middle 30s. Winds will remain southerly and come in at 5-10mph.
The sunshine will continue on Friday and temperatures will show further improvement into the lower 60s for all of West Texas. There will be no weather concerns as shoppers are moving around town.
This upcoming weekend will see an increase in mid and high level cloudiness but precipitation chances are predicted to remain low. Partly sunny skies can be expected on average with highs getting into the middle 60s.
Early next week it still appears a strong storm system takes shape in the Rockies. Counter-clockwise flow around low pressure will drive warm southerly winds into our region propelling temperatures into atleast the lower 70s.
All of this will be ahead of a cold front which should come thru in the late week period sending temperatures potentially back to below normal levels. Some wet weather may very well accompany that transition to cooler temperatures.
